I'll have to check on which version I used.
I have a question.
Are you going to have cities as targets or are you concentrating on airfields and other frontline targets?

Re: EAW WW1 - ground objects
I tried that approach in SPAWFinalCut but there were just too many rendering issues to make it viable. I ended up going back to the one piece carriers and adding stacked TMOD's. Sadly, I couldn't find the placement data for the carriers but it wouldn't be hard to figure out using the target editor. ...

Re: EAW WW1 - ground objects
Doing some much needed spring cleaning and I came across notes I made back when I produced SPAWFinalCut. Using trial and error i figured out how to stack TMOD's. It's all ship related but it might come in useful and it might inspire you to give it a try with land objects. For instance, you could use...

Re: Luchtmacht (Belgian Air Force)
Both the HD.1 and HD.2 are in the inventory. The HD.2 was equipped with a .50 cal MG for balloon busting. Also, if you'd like an entertaining take on WWI balloon busting, search out The Fat Electrician's podcasts on youtube. He has one about Frank Luke, the American pilot who took out a bunch of bal...

Re: RN Aircraft carriers in WW1
The USS Long Island in SPAW looks a lot like the HMS Argus.

Re: Target locations Western Front
EAW2015 also has a target down there in Northern Italy, right on the coast. It's so close to the edge of the map that you hit it the border flying east by about 20 miles. Looks like your frontline is a little further north so that shouldn't be an issue. I only put one target down there and no others...

Re: EAW WW1 - ground objects
 Edit: I took a look at some of those TMOD's and was surprised at how much work I did on them. To be clear I only built a few myself, the rest were collected from around the EAW world. What I did was fix up r/s issues and improved some skins. However, most of my effort was building new damage m...

Re: EAW WW1 - ground objects
I've been thinking about ships too. I mean how much difference would there be between a WWI and a WWII cargo ship? Maybe size or more smoke stacks, which would be an easy edit. Even some of the capital ship models might not take much editing. Heck we could turn the USS Long Island into the HMS Argus...

Re: More about .mpf files etc
I know Jel made a file to set capital cities so this might be related.
What's in the file? You can usually read them with Notepad or in a hexeditor.

Re: EAW WW1 - ground objects
You really definitely do. I had an idea. My daughter is engaged to a retired navy chopper pilot. (Second marriage for both and two kids each). Right now he's still looking for a second career, probably as a civilian project manager at the Norfolk Naval Base (Largest in the world and about 15 minute...

Re: EAW WW1 - ground objects
One of these day I have to pull out my father's photos from on board the Fletcher class destroyer he served on for 18 months. His primary role was chief torpedoman but he spent a lot more time manning a 40mm AA battery. Some of his photos include kamikaze dives and Japanese men being rescued from th...

Re: EAW WW1 - ground objects
Blessings on whoever created the universal renamer utility. Makes recursive creation of the numbered folders and most of the contents fairly quick and easy. Creating the screenshots is taking the time, but worth the effort in the long run. I'm pretty sure that was done by Tony at my request. I neve...
