My worry here, and I would very much like Andy's opinion on it, is how to make the eight or nine major carrier actions each with separate launch locations and target list, and lasting generally over a period of just a few days, fit into the EAW campaign engine. I think it's quite possible that we ma...

CAW 1944 overall plan - who's done what and is doing what

I have just reviwed all the CAW bulk emails I have in an attempt to summarise the general position in this addon as of now. (1) Originally CAW was going to embrace all the carrier action 1944 and 1945, but we have decided to work first with a map which includes the Phillippines, the Mariannas, Truk,...

coming from SAW I feel it is important to agree the complete Tmod list BEFORE we do any work on the target files so that we don't have problems later between the eaw_ttd objects and the targetset.... and it saves a lot of wasted time on making unused models too !! Yes, this is a job to be done ASAP...

CAW campaigns

As I understand it, with the final CAW map we settled on we hope to cover the following major actions in this addon: The raid on Truk 17/2/44 The Mariannas - Saipan 15/6/44, Guam 20/7/44, Taipan 23/7/44 Battle of the Phillippine Sea 18-20/6/44 Palau landings 10-17/9/44 Leyte landings 15-19/10/44 Bat...

CAW ground objects

As I'll shortly be embarking on the CAW target files, we need to think about the ground objects needed for CAW. These are my first thoughts, though perhaps our ground object types have been there before me. If we're going to do fair representations of the substantial American and Japanese naval flee...

Report of the commander of the Swiss Air Force

This material was provided to me by the Swiss Air Force museum: What happened in May/June 1940: After several conflicting situations in the air, mainly close to the Swiss-German and Swiss-French borderlines, the airforce was forced to withdraw all bases in the border regions and to operate from base...

Swiss project - current status July 2007

The idea of this projects was to use the map created for Dunkirk to model the dogfights between the Luftwaffe and the Swiss fighter force in May/June 1940. As Georing deliberately and intimidatingly flew his forces over Switzerland toward their French targets, the Swiss for whom neutrality never mea...
