European Air War - The Gen

I'm slowly working through the plane list if only for my own pleasure. I've got the 110C and HS126 for the Luftwaffe. The Hs126 is a problem becvause I can't find a model. The French are amazing, I've found all but 3 types in high rez. The RAF is still a work in progress. Anyway, I just get too much...

Too bad there are no real HR models from the Red Air Force. The ones I've looked at are all mirrored and that doesn't really match the actual cammo. But, I am hip deep in 1940 France to do anything else.

I've just put a wing view into the Hudson model. I've got to convert the pcx files into tpc for the Hurricanes, Spitfire, Swordfish and Hudson. I had a hard disk crash and have had to repaint these skins. Anyway, good to know what is up.

It is actually easier to make a .bmp then to make a .tpc.

OK, do you want the models as 1.60 or slotted? The .bmp can be included in a seperate folder and if the high rez wanted all that will be needed is to add the .bmps to the file. And, it will take a bit since there are so many aircraft and I need to research the proper colors and markings. The Luftwaf...

Ray, the Hudson is fine, I was able to do my stuff without much of a problem. It was the Swordfish that has caused the greatest amount of work. The only bit I could't change was the top of the lower wing. The way the texture panel is laid out doesn't allow any major reworking. So, it is a mirrored a...

There is a u.pcx but the mapping is way off. Anyway, until I get a proper set of reading glasses in a week or two, things are a but too fuzzy to work at the computer. I've a pair of drug store readers but they just don't do a good enough job for painting.

Ray, Also off topic... grabbed it already and found that the pilot wing view ( planeU.3dz ) was not mapped to a texture panel. I finished mapping to the planetes.pcx and renamed it.
