I'll get straight to that
Probably a few more to come as I work back through the various theatres.

One of the most important planes of the 1920s & 1930s
Was the Fokker Tri-motor airliner. The 737 of its time for that then small class of people that could actually afford air travel. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/22/DonThomasPosters13_%2819291814749%29.jpg Also used by explorers and record breakers, and a few found their way to Pola...

Little Wars and Obscure Planes
One of the things that is so interesting in fleshing out the Italy/Balkans/Ukraine map is the unknown little skirmishes and and the forgotton planes that flew in them. When Adolf Hitler ripped up the Versailles Treaty and started redrawing the international boundaries in central Europe he opened a w...

Re: Battle of Britain campaign issue
Hello! Not a question I can answer personally, as I don't run many campaign games these days. I'm concentrated on single missions. Maybe Jel might have a view. I recall he did some work on campaigns a little while back. Suggest you install 1.6 and give it a go. There is an updated BoB campaign among...

Re: Moggy's Log February 2024
The odd thing is, sometimes it doesn't work if you give the FM dual nationality. Does work if it's one or the other. The workaround I have adopted is to have a pair of FMs, one British, one American, and use the one that works in a particular setup.

Screenshots from 22 years ago Jan-Feb 2002
Twenty two years ago, in January and February 2002, we were working a number of interesting EAW things. First of all there was the very first illustration of how a high res plane might be built from the paste-on files used by the complex four engine bomber models: http://mogggy.org/pictures/efg.jpg ...

Re: Chris Cartledge, Fleet Air Arm pilot who bombed Tirpitz
Oh, that's interesting. I wonder if some sort of flaps augmentation might have sorted the Seafire problem, lower speed landings.

Moggy's Log February 2024
Continuing with the Italy-Balkans-Ukraine setup, I have made what seems to be good progress with sorting out the single mission selection CTD problem. My suspicion was that his was down to the limited useability of originally axis air bases on the other side of the frontline. We discovered many year...

Re: Chris Cartledge, Fleet Air Arm pilot who bombed Tirpitz
As I understood it, the landing gear configuration of the Spitfire/Seafire, with the wheels very close together, made it highly unstable in the context of carrier landings. The basic Spitfire configuration was unsuitable for carrier ops generally. Only optimism kept it in the inventory. The Corsair ...

Significant savings on military history books
Have a look at Naval & Military Press: https://www.naval-military-press.com/pr ... ld-war-ii/
I just bought £189 worth of books at the cover price, for £56. Some cracking titles including Jason Nicholas Moore's Soviet Fighters of the Second World War cover price £40, for £9.99.
