Well, there ya' go!

I'm going to try to get Iron Mike involved in skinning and 3dz mods by starting with a small project.

I'll see if he wants to rebadge the Do335.

Aircraft selection and present status

OK, here goes with the possible planes for the campaign: BTW, finished aircraft include skins, 3dz's and flight models. P38L / P49 - enhanced lo-res (done - but maybe Skylark could do up a new natural metal finish if we ask nice ) F7F / P-65 - enhanced lo-res ( done ) P47N - Hi-res (done ) F8F - lo-...

LDR's

Moggy,

Last year I did some LDR's for the 1.26e exe for my weapons mod.

All they did was point the exe at different .dat files, they didn't change lookup tables within the exe. BUT HEY - it ain't rocket surgery!

I'm sure we can figure it out.

Charles' files

Moggy,

rotton50 at yahoo dot com

I'd like to look at them. No point starting from scratch.

I know it's early in the process but would you like me to include the parafrag bomb mod for the B25?

Slots

Good thought, Pobs. There's plenty of different skins for the Zero and Tony. In addition, for more variety some of the non-flyable slots can be made flyable. There are enough different hangar screens available to do so. And the campaign files are easily edited to take advantage of those planes. None...

Hangar screens

Ok, I'll stand by.

Most of the heavy lifting is over as far as screens for CAW.

Anything you don't like let me know. We'll try something else.

Tempest slot

Moggy, Apparently, the Mosquito was only used for recon missions by the USAAF. The PBJ equipped 16 USMC squadrons and saw extensive service in the Pacific. They even landed them successfully on carriers in trials but were not used operationally. The P-61 is also a great choice for that slot.

Tempest slot

Moggy,

While searching for the missing hangars I came across 2 possible planes for the Tempest slot.

The PBJ1 (B25J) and the Mosquito in US markings. There are models of both available on Talley-ho.

Norm

OK, I'll set that up too.

With all the slot switching going on do you need help getting the flight models in the right slots too?

Like I had to ask.

"Norm" history

The E15K was used at the invasion of Palau, September 1944. You also might consider the N1K1 floatplane. I think there's a model available. BTW, I've made a lot of progess with the hangars. I'm re-assigning the hangar numbers to correspond to the slots you have set up. I'll also include the empty sp...

Screens

Well it helps that you don't need hangar screens for the non-flyables. I found some more hangar screens. F6F ( 2 land based ) B24 Ki84 (George) A B5N2 Kate that looks like a Myrt if you squint. :-) That leaves the B25, Ventura, Jake and Jill. I can do those if I can't find any. I do have Col. Gibbon...

Plane list

Just bouncing ideas here:

Do you want a flyable OKHA involved? If so, move the Val to the JU87 slot and put the OKHA in the 262 slot.

I think there's some transparency problems with a prop plane in the jet slot anyway.
