Change in TERRAIN direction.
Hi All, I have come across a sticky problem that may cause me to change direction a little bit. It appears that most video cards and virtually most every game library use single precision floating point numbers for defining in 3D space the node positions for models, as well as the camera position. T...

I am glad you like it Shreck. I have the next installment almost ready. There is a problem still with the networking library, it is being worked on at the moment. Once that library is fixed, then we will have a proper client/host/server mode in the game. The new version also has bullets with gun con...

UPDATE Gun Convergence and Snapshot capability
Hi All, Just a small update. We now have Bullets (but still no DamageModel) as well as Gun Convergence. We also have Screen Snapshot capability within the game. Will have to do a little multiplayer testing with these features before this version of the test code will be released in a few days. http:...

CALLING JELLY
Hi Tony, Nads, Knegel and I ran a few multiplayer flights with the new game code and all looks to be running fine. Knegel was running as HOST and Nads and myself had no problems joining a running game. I think the basic networking part is now doing what we all wanted of it. We now have working HOST/...

Hi John, Well at the moment I am in the nuddy after a nice late swim in the pool. I also wonder why the scales were actually changed within EAW between the various objects. I suspect there has to be a good reason. It is something worthy of a trial, but who would want to redo all those models and in ...

Then are there any diags to recomend to test the stability of my rig? The main one is memory stability. Usually the best test in a memory diagnostic that comes with virtually any Linux distribution, but you can download a version and load it up (self booting) and run it over night to see if any pro...

You may have a stability problem with your machine. I don't appear to have problems when I run with ATI video on some of my ...

Re: EAW and Windows XP Screen Quality
I'm wondering if there is a coorelation between color quality settings and some CTD's in EAW. Do you use 16 or 32 bit quality? And, how many if any use compatibility mode and 256 colors. Or, does it make no difference at all. Hi Iron Mike, I assume you are talking with regard to WinXP. With this op...
