I think I'm in uncharted territory here. All the mods I've seen for the flaps and canopies are tied to either the landing gear or engine.

I was hoping to at least find the code that actuated the flaps with the flap key as that's the most obvious missing key.

Wuddy, You can have the troopers and the glider at the same time. You just have to give up another slot in the weapons.dat file. One drop tank becomes the trooper.3dz and another is the C47.3dz. Guys, You don't have to turn them into bombs to get the craters. There's a way to make drop tanks explode on contact. I use it in my weapons mod. By fiddling around with the bytes I found that instead of using 04 as the second byte to define the weapon type as a drop tank in the weapons.dat file set...

Wuddy, There really isn't a "flight model" for the C47/ ord14 drop tank. It will simply fall away to the rear with the default drop tank numbers in the weapons.dat file but can be made to fly away forward with the new numbers I put in the weapons.dat file. I think the weapons.dat file I se...

I was just trying to be funny with the "sailing off" comment. Actually it moves away quite nicely, I think just about the speed you would want.

Col, I tried this out today with my new detachable float on the E15K "Norm" recon plane. All I did was change the 6th byte from '0' to '4' and off went the float sailing into the sunset. Remarkable sight! You can adjust the speed with another byte but honestly, once you let go of the rope ...

Wuddy, You don't need to change it to a rocket. You can make the "drop tank / C47" fly forward by changing the 6th byte of the weapon slot you are using from "0" to either "3' or "4". A "3" will make it drop slightly as it moves away from you and a "...

Moggy,

Just wanted to let you know that your fix worked. I pointed the file at the Me110c slot rather that the Me262 slot.
I guess the two planes in those slots will need to be released as a package so that other people don't run into the problem.

jet slot prop fix

Can anyone point me to the jet slot prop fix.

I'm having problems with the cockpit view of the props when placing a prop plane on the jet slot.

I searched the SIMHQ forum and found a couple of references to it but I can't find the fix.
