Re: Valentia

Trying to trace the origin of the HPO-400 model makes me think that it may not be Jon's, but done by Flyright.

Re: Valentia

Thanks Mike. I am going to let our resident expert on rounding things (Ray) have a go at this when I've got it somewhat nearer to how I want it.

Quite pleased so far.

Just realised this morning that I need to put underwing hardpoints for the bomb racks.

Re: Valentia

It's not bad. There does seem to be the odd small glitch, but frankly it's damn sight better than nothing, and it is, finally, the last plane required for the theatre. Only taken 16 years!

Once I'm done I will send it over so you can have a look and do anything that occurs to you.

Re: Valentia

May need your skill on "round things" to get that nose looking right.

Re: Camel Issues

Thanks Jel. I found with the other editor all was fine if I reduced the number of tmods at the problematic locations from 256 to 255.

Re: Valentia

I think this is one of the last models Jon built from scratch, so in theory the r/s ought to be spot on. So hopefully I can get away with the essentially cosmetic changes that will make it resemble the Valentia.

Valentia

Jon's HP100 as the start of a better knock-off for the Valentia. Essential shape of the plane is similar, have to lose the nose gun position, make wings of equal length, and make the body less slim.

Re: Camel Issues

Thanks Jel, I have that. I was aware that "type 2" doubled the size of the mod, so it seems that increasing the type no can increase it further. I suppose the programmers did that as a short cut when they were dealing with large ground onject buildings as opposed to comparatively small air...

Re: Camel Issues

Thanks. The Iraq Tardata may be one of my original "hand edited by hex editor" jobs, pre your utilities. May be a few possible anomalies :)

Re: Camel Issues

Thanks Jel, I have that. Updated utilities especially useful. Have you done a tardata split at all? No idea why the camels were set to type 3, or even what type 3 is. I know types 1 and 2 :) I'm having a go at creating the only tank actually used in the Iraq campaign, the Italian built light tank CV...

Re: No Camels

Done some tmog creation in my working folder, and provided an axis alternative for that RAF armoured car turning up in the axis armoured colums.

This is the first EAW stuff I have done in a while. Thanks for getting me going again.
