The reason being that aircraft models in 1.6 can use many more 3dz paste-ons which earlier EAW iterations cannot.
Good point.

EAW 128C and 129
I have removed the links for the download packages from the announcement post as we are short of space on Mr.Jelly's download server, and like to concentrate on 1.6.
If however anyone is interested in trying out these older Code Group products, please post here and we'll see what can be done.

Re: Jarod's help post
Try this 1.1 GB download: http://mogggy.org/EAW129/UAW129Sept2023.exe Extract to a new folder which will be the 129 install. You may need to set up the eaw.ini with your preferred options, and otherwise use the game config screen to install your preferred settings. Run DSP128-9.exe to choose the exe...

Re: Jarod's help post
I've deleted the links to the 129 and 128C downloads. Sorry about that. Mr. Jelly was essentially running out of room on his download sites and needs to concentrate on UAW 1.6.
If you want to try 1.29, I may be able to put together a package for you.

Re: What's going on at CombatSim?
I've had a look at the site stats now. There was a massive increase in traffic to this board from December last year. Hits went up from some 20k a month to 1.2 million. Monthly number of visits from about 1k to 10k. A great deal of this was over the Christmas holiday itself, and mostly from the US a...

Re: Barbarossa screenies
 That's Shawn "sagginb" Griffin's Euro-512 EAW Terrain v1.0 (D-24 or Darker Tile set-24 bit), first created for EAW 128E. It does work rather well with the mountainous areas. Whisper it quietly, but I may be getting somewhere at last with the slot CTDs. And many thanks for the planes....

Definitive books on Eastern Front air war
When summarising the contributions of the major allies to the second world war, Stalin declared that "the British gave time, the Americans gave money, and the Russians gave blood". This is of course a generalisation; all the allied contributors gave considerable amounts of blood and treasu...

Barbarossa screenies
Some screenies I took today whilst trying to sort out the 1941 Barbarossa scenario in the Italy-Balkans-Ukraine theatre. This was a 110 escort mission for Ju87s: http://mogggy.org/pictures/carp8.jpg http://mogggy.org/pictures/carp7.jpg The route took took the squad through the Carpathians, where the...
