Hello,

And again, what you read in the media is slanted left. If you do some independent research you find that Palin was no right wing nut. Certainly not as "right" as Oboma is "left".

You are from the South of USA ... I'm from the South of Belgium and socialist (PS) ... this must at some extend explain our difference of perception on this subject :)

Regards.

Gus.

Gus,

Yes I can definitely agree with you on that, perception is everything.

All I ask people to do is educate themselves and not rely on what they read, see and hear in the media.

critical thinking is something that is not taught to the mass' on our planet ...for if it were things such as bigotry, hate, and war would cease to exist...as the "why" would be clearly understood.
wisdom is not,but for the true student.

Eric,

I've been preaching this exact sentiment to my kids for over 25 years. Thank God they do seem to get it.

BTW, one voted for McCain and one for Obama. But it was an informed decision and the guy that voted for Obama has NOT been written out of the will.

Of course with the present course we're about to take there won't be anything left to inherit. That will teach 'em. :D

Ya' know, we have to get a license to drive and to get married. We should have to have a license to vote.

Oh wait, that would be unfair to the dis-advantaged.

This is the first election where the winner should call for a re-count
The Republican strategist who said that knew his stuff.

Dumo's cartoon says it all. The White House is falling on the next guy's shoulders in more ways than one.
In a way, Obama is like Herakles being suckered into holding up the World for a minute while Atlas took a rest in that Greek story. Herakles (or Hercules) almost got stuck with it. Forever.

Or like a newbie having Knegel, Dumo, Jel, Spitty, Mike, BPNZ, Nads, and even VBH on his six o'clock in a Free-For-All. It don't look good.
If Obama had gone into the Army, he would have learned the Prime Directive: NEVER VOLUNTEER for anything. Too late now.

No matter who flew that crate before and wore it out, our new Prez better fly real good. He's gonna be blamed for it.
But he will have a majority of Congress behind him. WAY behind him.

Life is but a dream, sha-boom, sha-boom...

we (America) have yet to enter our facist period...

the world should be afraid, very afraid...

Re Shreck... "Never underestimate the power of human stupidity." Quote from the notebooks of Lazerus Long, R.H. Heinlein.

BTW...Ray is not a Southerner, he is a Yankee relocated from New York, my ancestors (on my mothers side) fired upon his during the States War.
Some called it The Civil War, some called it The War of the Rebellion. But, unlike may other internal wars there was no massive revenge taking upon the losers. Mr. Lincoln and his succesor Andrew Johnson who carried out Lincon's post war plans saw to it.

It is in this spirit and not that of the yarns the spinmasters in Chicago are creating that we will move on. It really was a closer run electon than the rest of the world has been led to believe. It is a sad thing that this new administration is already beginning with a falsehood.
If all else fails, punt. Or, RUN AWAY!!!

I just love the picture of Bush showing Obama around the White House. Going through the door, Obama put his hand on Bush's shoulder, and patted him as they went inside, as if to say, come on old boy, this it's all mine now. :D

When I saw Obama the first time, I thought he was a Preacher Man. Then it all came out about him and his radical Preacher friend, and it became obvious he's preaching the Gospel of CHANGE.

I have never witnessed a person win a political position, on a single word, without any properly cost-ed plans. Seems to me, Obama is going to have a hell of a time living up to the hype, he generated, to become President.

Shame really, the real President candidate got drowned out in CHANGE WAR.

Actually, the change that Oboma is referring to is the change in our pockets.

That's all we're going to have left with the "share the wealth" philosophy that's coming into power.

It will only take one term for the middle class folks to figure this out.
