Well, no luck on the D/L.

I made a stand alone folder with all the files but as soon as I start the game it CTD's. I wonder if I could get it working if I migrated one of your scenarios into my EAW setup.

The reason I'm interested is that I think one of your Eastern Europe setups would be perfect for a 1946 Cold War scenario. I have the planes for such a thing but they're flying over France and Germany.

Any idea how I could make this happen?

Very odd, I've been working with the copy I made here, and it is also behaving oddly compared with the original, Suspect I've shaved something important off the copy. Doing some more experiments.

Meanwhile, to copy of of the theatre setups to your working 1.6, try copying over the theatre folders 1-4 to your 1.6 folder, and the contents of the LongDirSet folder to your 1.6 LongDirset folder. You should then be able to use the theatres with any of the plane sets you have in your 1.6

Tried a number of scenarios after copying over the files you directed:

5 caused a CTD upon loading EAW:

EB 10 Royal Bulgarian 44-45
EB 1 Sudentland 38 Fall
9 War in the Balkans 44-45 Summer LL
10 War in the Balkans 44-45 Summer
1 Winter War Finland 39-40

3 did not CTD, however once in the game I see the default EAW map:
Balkans 41
Balkans 43
Israel - Palestine

I must need some other files.

Ray, no idea what's going on with this. It was mostly working last time I was working on it last year. Leave it with me. I'll try and put together another package.

Ok, will do.

FWIW, I'm really trying to do two things at once.

1 - BETA test your various scenarios so we can use a bunch of those lesser known planes I've been building.

2 - Get a working Eastern Front map and targets to build a Cold War scenario to use a bunch of late war/what-if planes/Korean conflict planes.

I'm working through my set up here, and I hope it's a good sign that some twenty odd of the scenarios I have tested only two are stubbornly giving me CTDs. I'm going to work through the rest and then try and make two things (1) a full setup that should work for you (and everyone else) and (2) a set of theatre files that should work for your cold war scenario.

I have another download, I have removed a couple of the scenarios which were spiky. This is just over 4 GB.

http://mogggy.org/EAW/IBU-TESTBED.zip

I have decompressed this zip and run it on different locations on my machine and it seems to work.

Don't forget to put in your own eaw.ini before running it.

Please do Stratos. And anyone else.

Again it's a stand alone installation of 1.6. It has its own eaw.ini so you may need to adjust for your preferred screen resoloution etc.

I see we've had six downloads of the Middle East setup and five downloads of the Italy-Balkan-Ukraine setup.

Anyone got anything working?
