VirtualBox is a great application. I use it to run Windows XP on my windows 10 machine, and I can run all the old stuff.
Meanwhile --- I am still working on a reassembly of the Desert Air War and Malta full campaigns for 1.6 and it is going very well. Should have something for you to try out before too long.
