3dz files - that "ini" value.

Did we ever figure out what that value at the commencement of 3dz files represented?

I just did an experiment. I copied the default P-51D skin folder and in the copy I changed all of the 3dz files so that they began 00 00.
I loaded the default ETO planeset, went to "level two" and referenced the P51-D skin slot to the copied folder.
When I ran the game there were no problems. Paulo originally suggested that these bytes are not used, and this would appear to be the case.
