EAW 128C and 129

Post by Moggy »

I have removed the links for the download packages from the announcement post as we are short of space on Mr.Jelly's download server, and like to concentrate on 1.6.

If however anyone is interested in trying out these older Code Group products, please post here and we'll see what can be done.

Just be aware that 75% or more of my models don't work in anything other than 1.6.

The reason being that aircraft models in 1.6 can use many more 3dz paste-ons which earlier EAW iterations cannot.

Good point.

I think 1.29 can handle the extra 3dz's but I don't think it has the extra transparencies for the P and S textures. Could be wrong on that as I jumped right into the most capable set of execs as soon as they were issued and thus stopped following other development lines.

It was the slot free revoloution with 1.3 that enabled the extra 3dzs beyond D.3dz. 129 can only handle the original paste on 3dz plus D.

I remember doing the work that gave us D.3dz, and then being totally frustrated that the same trick wouldn't work to get more. It was only when 1.3 arrived we noticed, totally by accident that implementing ghe slot free system, the data structure impediment that blocked access to other add on 3dzs could be bypassed.

Fluke!
