A great find. Dresden area I note.

People don't necessarily enjoy seeing the full reality.

I read a few other reviews and they all say the same thing.

An OK series but lacking in character development, exacerbated by the fact you can't see the crew members faces during the flight sequences.

And two reviewers even mentioned how they had to "squeeze" the Tuskegee Airmen into the story. I found it shocking that they'd bring it up considering how "woke" the entire publishing world is right now.

I will watch the remaining episodes but it's turning out to be a disappointment what with "wokeism" claiming another scalp.

One last thing.

No one, not reviewers, nor the thousands of comments to the reviews, has the least clue that the STATED purpose of the 8th Air Force's mission was the destruction of the Luftwaffe, not the German industrial base.

That last is is vital point. Those Mustangs cleared the skies for Overlord.

The 8th did a bit of damage to German war industry, as did RAF Bomber Command. It was trendy after the war to pretend that the damage done was insignificant, and not worth the civilian casualties. That was never true as Speer accepted especially after the Hamburg raid. Now it seems the efforts of the bombers can be accepted for what they were.
