An actual book on sale at Amazon:

For quite a while I have noticed the errors creeping into "documentaries" about the second world war. Most recently in a speil about the B17 and 8th Air Force bombing in Europe, the footage researchers had edited in film of RAF Lancasters.

Well, considering the dreadful education the kids are getting these days, most of 'em wouldn't bat an eye over such an egregious mistake.

FWIW, I watch a fair number of aircraft "documentaries" on YOUTUBE. I especially like the ones having to do with the lesser known planes, like the Maryland / Baltimore twins, the CW-12 and the PZL line.

Some are pretty good but I'd say 75% of them are riddled with wrong facts and incorrect aircraft pictures.

There's one guy who has a channel called "Greg's Planes" who does a great job with the technical aspects of WWII aircraft. He explains in detail the workings of superchargers, cannon ballistics and loads of other esoteric items related to the air war.

Check him out when you get a chance.

I've subscribed to Greg!

I see the first review from the US, of that book says:
Get the inside story on how four German FW-190s breached US defenses in Pearl Harbor to deliver an until-now never known attack.

Sad thing is, the book may have something interesting to say, but that cover is going to cause hysterics, even anongst the kids it is aimed at, some of whom will know better.
